Husband’s return hands Leamingon a timely boost

Paul Holleran has been handed a massive boost with the news that James Husband will be available for the promotion run-in.

The popular utility player has been unable to train with Brakes due to complications following the birth of his second child which has also limited his availability.

However, with things settling down at home, Husband will return to training next week with a view to being involved in the home clash with Bashley a week tomorrow.

With James Mace due to serve a suspension for his sending-off against Arlesey and Craig Owen expected to be out for two to four weeks, Holleran said his return cannot come a moment too soon.

People don’t realise what a loss Micky Tuohy, Alex Taylor and Jimmy Husband have been for us.

“When you’ve not got a big squad, numbers 12 to 16 are vital.

“We’ve been fortunate in the past few years that we’ve had people like Jimmy Husband that can come in and payer a number of positions and not let you down.

“That’s something we haven’t got at the moment and his return will be a real shot in the arm for us.”
