Leamington’s oldest gym box in the capital
Royal Leamington Spa ABC were on their travels again this weekend with a trip to Tottenham.
Jordan Khera made his club debut in his first contest in nearly four years. Matched at 54kg against East London ABC’s Kanyesig Muhumza, he was in a very close contest but was edged out on a 3-2 split decision.
Commenting after the bout, head coach and former professional Jason Callum said: “It was a great opportunity for Jordan to shake off his ring rust and although the result is a little disappointing, these bouts we take around the country are so important for the development of our boxers experiencing different styles and venues.”
Anyone wanting to competitively box is welcome to pop down to the gym in Valley Road, Lillington and speak to the club’s coaches. Opening hours and contacts can be found on social media.
