Video: Motorists in Leamington should be wary of congestion caused by these temporary traffic lights on the Parade

This video footage shows what it is like for motorists to drive down the Parade in Leamington while temporary traffic lights are in place at present.

The footage was captured today (Monday January 19) at 11am and gives an indication of how much worse the situation has been at busier times of the day.

The tail back - caused by the temporary traffic lights on the bridge over the River Leam near Jephson Gardens – stretches as far back as the Town Hall.

A tail back is also being caused in Spencer Street and Avenue Road as a result of the temporary lights.

There is potential for this situation to get much worse during rush hour and the school run time today.

The lights have been in place for a few days and stopped working for a time over the weekend.

The good news is that the work on the road should be finished and the traffic lights should be removed tomorrow (Tuesday January 20).
