Located close to Taylor Wimpey’s Squires Cross development, 1st Stretton-on-Dunsmore Scout Group prepares young people with skills for life, while encouraging them to ‘do more, learn more, and be more.’ Every week, the local group gives those aged between 10-and-a-half and 18 years the opportunity to take on new adventures while developing their skills to succeed now and in the future.

The housebuilder’s donation will support the safety of youngsters within the group through the purchase of trackers which will be utilised as the group takes on challenges for the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme.  As part of the scheme, expeditions as well as scout hikes are regular, meaning safety is paramount, with the trackers supporting the leaders running the events.

Vicki Ledger, group lead volunteer said: “We are incredibly grateful for this donation from Taylor Wimpey. It will enable us to ensure the safety of our youngsters during their activities as part of their pursuit of the Duke of Edinburgh Award.”
