Meriden-based IPP’s parent company Faber has secured the EcoVadis Platinum rating for 2026, in recognition of its ongoing work to integrate sustainability into its business operations.

Its score of 90 out of 100 puts it in the top one per cent of companies assessed by EcoVadis worldwide, and also represents an increase on its 2025 score of 86.

EcoVadis is an internationally-recognised provider of independent business sustainability ratings and assesses companies across four key areas: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.

IPP, which supplies reusable wooden pallets for fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) supply chains, is part of just nine per cent of global businesses which make up the circular economy.

This ecosystem is designed to keep products and materials in use for as long as possible – which at IPP means every pallet is repaired, reused and eventually recycled as biomass when it reaches the end of its useful life.

Ingrid Faber, CEO of Faber, said: “Retaining Platinum recognition for six consecutive years, while further improving our score, reflects the progress we are making in embedding responsible business practices throughout our organisation.

“For our customers and partners, independent assessments provide greater transparency into how we manage sustainability. For us, they are an important benchmark for continuous improvement.

“This achievement recognises the collective effort across our organisation and reinforces our responsibility to keep raising our standards.”

The business’ improved performance reflects a series of initiatives implemented over the last year, including progress towards fully FSC/PEFC-certified sourcing of newly-purchased wooden pallets, and the validation of emissions reduction targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Further developments include third-party verification of sustainability reporting and the continued integration of sustainability considerations into HR, operational management, risk management and procurement.

The reduction in carbon emissions detailed in the group’s most recent sustainability report delivered a collective saving of more than 40,000 tonnes of CO₂.

Demi Crabbe, commercial director of IPP UK&I, added: “This award is a significant milestone in an evolving sustainability landscape, where expectations regarding corporate responsibility, transparency and supply chain accountability continue to increase.”
