Kayleigh Ryan has recently published One Day at a Time, a mental health and wellbeing workbook created from a deeply personal place.

For Kayleigh, this is about more than becoming a published author. It's about taking something she has experienced herself and using it to create something that might help other people feel less alone when life becomes overwhelming.

Mental Health affects individuals and families across the country, yet accessing the right support isn't always straightforward. People can find themselves struggling while waiting for help, navigating services or trying to manage difficult periods between appointments.

Kayleigh believes there is a need for accessible resources that people can turn to in their own time, alongside professional support.

"I'm not writing about mental health from the outside. I have my own lived experience, and I wanted to create something practical that could offer others encouragement and space to reflect when they're struggling."

One Day at a Time offers a gentle, practical space for reflection. It is not intended to replace professional mental health care, but to provide an additional resource for people navigating difficult days.

After spending years working towards publication, Kayleigh is proud to have brought her book to life. She hopes sharing her story will encourage more open conversations about mental health, lived experience and the importance of making support accessible.

Her hope is simple: that someone who is struggling might discover the book and feel a little less alone.
