Blue Peter honour for champion Little Elvis

LEAMINGTON’s own pint-sized Elvis was back in the spotlight recently after being asked to appear on Blue Peter.

Sylvain Saint Simon, who, under his alternative ego Little Elvis Sylvain recently came top in the novice section of a Europe-wide Elvis tribute act competition, was talent-spotted by the BBC.

The seven-year-old was followed by the Blue Peter team’s camera crew at home and performing at an Elvis event in Bridlington – and he got his four minutes of fame on the popular television show.

Speaking afterwards, he said: “It was loads of fun. It was really exciting to see myself on the telly, but also funny because you always think your voice is deeper than it actually is. I would definitely like to be on TV again.”
