New police on Whitnash beat
NEW police officers are on the Whitnash beat following a reorganisation of Warwickshire Police.
Sgt Allison Wiggin now leads a safer neighbourhood team, including herself and Pcso Sharron Underwood, alongside Pc Manjit Sidhu and Pcso Steve Sample who served on Whitnash’s previous police team.
Sgt Wiggin, who is based at Warwick police station but divides her time between the two towns, said: “We’re trying to deal with problems before they turn into emergencies. Safer neighbourhood teams may have shrunk in terms of the number of officers because the capacity to investigate has been taken away but we can focus more on problem solving.”
