Runner safety is of paramount importance for all. Due to statutory requirements, all of the roads along the route have to be closed for enough time for the field to pass . The route has been extended in the rural part of the course this year enabling the number of roads and households affected overall, to be reduced by around 400 .

The revised route can be viewed on the Run web site www.twocastlesrun.org.uk

The Rotary Club Of Kenilworth have employed a road closure management contractor to ensure we comply with the law and keep the closure times to a minimum .

Rotary club members have delivered letters giving full details to all residents living in the roads affected. Clearly marked diversions will be set up again to keep disruption minimal.

In the event of a need of access for emergency vehicles this will be maintained by the use of radio contact and marshals escorting any vehicle in or out

The club is aware that some residents may feel that this arrangement is an inconvenience to them even if of short duration.

We with respect ask for a repeat of the patience shown in the past 30 years, and hope when weighed against the huge benefits to local and national charities, and the prestige this event gives the towns of Warwick and Kenilworth all will feel the event warrants the small disruption caused. We of course appreciate and thank you all for the support we have had over all this time .
