Couples invited to explore historic Warwick ceremony venue during open day
Couples are being invited to explore an historic Warwick ceremony venue during its next open day event.
Warwickshire County Council’s Registration Service is inviting prospective couples to attend the event at St John’s House on October 4 from 11am to 2pm.
The venue is a Grade I listed Jacobean mansion and has two wood-panelled rooms. The larger room can accommodate up to 40 people, while the smaller room is suitable for more intimate legal ceremonies of up to eight people.
St John’s House hosts marriages, civil partnerships, renewal of vows and naming ceremonies throughout the year.

Steeped in history, St John's House has been part of Warwick's story for centuries.
The building dates back to the late 17th century, while the site itself has served many different purposes since medieval times, adding to its distinctive character and appeal.
Cllr Mike Bannister, portfolio holder for resources and internal affairs, said: “St John’s House is one of Warwickshire’s most distinctive ceremony venues, combining beautiful historic surroundings with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
“The open day is a fantastic opportunity for couples and families to explore the venue, meet our friendly and experienced Registration Service team, and start imagining how their special day could look at St John’s House.”
