Warwickshire allow duo out on loan
Two players – Che Simmons and Nathan Gilchrist - have been allowed to leave Warwickshire CCC this week.
Simmons is moving to Division Two side Gloucestershire on loan until the end of the season ahead of a permanent move upon the expiration of his contract later this year.

Simmons, who joined as a 17-year-old in 2021, made his senior debut in 2024 and has gone on to play four times in First-Class cricket for the county.
But first team opportunities have been limited for Simmons and he leaves having been a mainstay of the Second XI that won the T20 Cup in each of the last two seasons.
Head coach Ian Westwood, said: “Che is someone who has been a very popular member of our squad and will be greatly missed around the group.
“We wish him the best of luck with Gloucestershire and hope that a fresh start and some luck with injuries can help him fulfil his potential.”
Simmons said: “I’d like to thank everyone at Warwickshire for giving me the opportunity to be part of a great club and for all the support I've received since I first joined the Bears.
“I’m very grateful to all the coaches, teammates, staff and supporters who have played a part in my time at the club and helped me along the way.
“I’ve made some great friendships and will take away with me a lot of happy memories at the club.
“I’m thankful to everyone behind the scenes who has played a part in my development on and off the field. The Bears hold a special place in my heart.”
Meanwhile, Gilchrist will join Leicestershire on loan for the next two rounds of County Championship action.
The 26-year-old was left out of the Bears’ squad for this week’s match against Glamorgan.
Westwood said: “Competition for places is high at the moment and when we decided to leave Nathan out of this week’s squad, it made complete sense to let him go and play cricket with Leicestershire.
“He is still absolutely part of our plans and giving him the opportunity to stay match sharp means he’ll be ready as and when we call upon him.”
Gilchrist is ineligible to face the Bears so will return ahead of the closing County Championship game when Leicestershire visit Edgbaston.
Warwickshire's Charlie Taylor has been selected as part of a 15-player squad for the England Men U19s’ four-match Youth ODI series against Pakistan Men U19s.
The 16-year-old quick, who made his List A debut for Warwickshire in the Metro Bank One Day Cup earlier this year, is one of 10 players in the squad that were part of the Test team that defeated Pakistan by 10 runs at Arundel last week.
