Lampard celebrates one year in charge of Coventry City

Frank Lampard is today celebrating a year in charge of Coventry City, and one former player reckons he will continue to lead the club for many more to come.
The former Chelsea legend has revitalised his managerial career since replacing the much-loved Mark Robins at the Coventry Building Society Arena, with the Sky Blues currently ten points clear at the top of the Championship.
Lampard has learned lessons from his time at the helm of Derby County, Chelsea (twice), and Everton with Coventry seemingly the beneficiaries.
Sky Sports pundit Clinton Morrison, who enjoyed a two-year spell with the club from 2008-2010, believes Lampard will repay the faith shown in him.

“I think Coventry invested in Frank to give him that opportunity because people were questioning whether Frank is going to get another job because some haven't worked out,” said Morrison.
Promotion is looking a safe bet at present and would be a fitting reward for Lampard’s efforts in the West Midlands. Until finding his groove at Coventry, life in the dugout had been far from plain sailing for the man who enjoyed a stellar playing career. Success will inevitably mean Lampard will be linked with ‘bigger’ clubs.
But speaking exclusively with Freebets, the home of new casino sites, Morrison said he thinks loyalty will be a factor: “I think he'll stick with them in the Premier League, and I think he'll be there for at least a few seasons.
“If he does well at Coventry in the Premier League, then his stock is going to be high again, which is high anyway. Then there'll be lots of big clubs looking for him and that will be a decision Frank has to make. But I think he's done a fantastic job at Coventry.”
Next up for Lampard and his free-scoring side is a 3pm kick-off at home to Charlton Athletic.
