Warwick Racecourse: Preview and tips for Tuesday’s seven-race meeting
Competitive day ahead as National Hunt season hots up
The National Hunt season is beginning to hot up now, with the new term’s first Graded races now behind us, and the racing at Warwick today looks as competitive as ever.

This preview and tips for the Warwick card, brought to you by BOYLE Sports, who have all the horse racing odds.
We open with a beginners’ chase run over two miles (12.18).
Somewhat disappointingly, there are just two runners here, but they are both about equal on the ability front and both come from high class stables, so it’s still not easy to pick the winner.
Un Sens A La Vie has some classy back form, while Loriko has run in lower class races but has performed. Un Sens La Vie seems the marginally safer option.
A juvenile maiden hurdle follows, run over two miles (12.53). Kelly Burn was the highest rated on the Flat of those with ratings, while Changing Lanes had yet to receive a mark but was performing well.
He is the main fancy here and, given that he runs for Jamie Snowden, who is bang in form, this seems justified.
Next is a novices’ hurdle run over two miles and three furlongs (13.28). Dan Skelton’s Trigg has been useful over hurdles so far, winning two of his three starts, and he has a penalty to carry now.
Nightflyer might be happier on this good ground today, while it might be interesting to see how One Knight goes. His bumper form was very good, but his hurdle starts so far have been sub-par.
The fourth race is a two-mile handicap hurdle (14.03). Berry Edge has risen hugely in the handicap since his latest win but isn’t too badly off in the weights in this particular race, while hat-trick seeking Lucy The Wire is given a seven-pound penalty on top of carrying top weight.
Crown Of India might take a step forward in first-time headgear.
Race five is a two and a half mile handicap chase (14.38). Court In A Storm won last time out and looks to be up against it here, while Playful Fox, also seeking to go back-to-back wins, is better off here.
The favourite is a little inconsistent so the second favourite is more appealing.
Second to last is a three and a quarter mile handicap chase (15.13). Bahtiyar went close last time out and could be handy again, given five pounds by his rider, while the Magus is an unreliable sort who could possibly win off this mark, but he is too prone to failing to complete that he is hard to fancy.
Finally we have a handicap hurdle run over two miles and five furlongs (15.48).
Ballymoreen won well last time and has risen 10 pounds in the handicap since, while Katarcice has been more kindly treated by the handicapper after a good win last time.
Kittys Glance also won well last time and might have a chance again, while Electric Eddy looks nicely treated in the weights now and could win.
