Truslove lifts UK troops

Former Warwick Racing Club ABC boxer Mark Truslove turned on the style in front of 4,000 members of the armed forces and their families at the Royal Albert Hall last Friday evening.

Representing the UK armed forces in the Tickets for Troops-organised show against their US counterparts, Truslove produced a third-round knockout to defeat fellow middleweight Darnell Price II.

Frank Bruno and Barry McGuigan were also in attendance to see the hosts claim five of the evening’s nine bouts.

Meanwhile, Richard Chavasse (74kg) was also in action at the weekend, beating Leicester Railway ABC’s Mike Nolan on his own show.

Chavasse boxed superbly behind his jab in the first round before increasing his punch rate in the second.

He claimed victory when his opponent was given a standing count in the third.
